1.Identify and reflect the important features of the organization that should be known by a manager in order to successfully develop and use information systems.
  • Managers need to know the essential characteristics of the organization.
  • All modern hierarchical organization, specialization, justice, clear routines and opstimun efficiency.
  •  All organizations have their own political culture and the form of the difference in interest groups, and they are influenced by environmental factors.
  • An organization that vary in terms of objectives, cultural, political, social role, leadership, incentives, job type, and the type of structure.
  •  This feature can help explain the differences in the use of information systems by organizations.

2. Evaluate the impact of information systems on organizations.
  • Information systems and organizations where both are used to interact with and influence.
  • Introduction of a new information system will affect the organizational structure, objectives, work plans, value,  competition among interest groups, behaviors, and decision making.
  • Use of information technology can save transaction costs 
  • Information systems are also connected with the structure, culture and business processes of the organization.
  •  Complicated relationship between information systems, manpower, organization, and decision-making must be managed properly.

3.How does Porter’s competitive forces model help companies develop competitive strategies using information systems?
  •     In Porter’s competitive forces model, the strategic position of the firm, and its strategies, are determined by competition with its traditional direct competitors, but they are also greatly affected by new market entrants, substitute products and services, suppliers, and customers.
  •   Information systems help companies compete by maintaining low costs, differentiating products or services, focusing on market niche, strengthening ties with customers and suppliers, and increasing barriers to market entry with high levels of operational excellence.

4. Demonstrate how information systems help businesses use energy, core competencies, and strategies based on the network to achieve competitive advantage. 

  • A company has many business units, information systems can help businesses improve their competitiveness by promoting the division of knowledge of all business units.

  • In a business ecosystem, many industry partners to deliver value to customers.

5. Evaluate the resistance caused by information systems strategy and management solution.
  • Implement strategies for information systems usually require a major change in the organization and the transition from stage to stage of sosioteknis.
  • Many information systems strategy which is easily imitated by other companies so difficult to defend. 
  •  Not all information systems strategy profitable and it can also be very expensive to develop.
